Well, with the exception of some big egos and easily hurt feelings on more than one account (myself included - I fully admit it), GenCon was amazingly fun and we came out yet again Victorious in the 7th Sea LARP. Performing was great fun and I even took the lead once and a few solo verses. Scared the hell out of me and I'm not entirely happy with my performance - but I'm glad I did it just the same. Wonderful to see my Florida, Vegas, and local friends (as well as a few guys from Seattle who didn't recognize me but I recognized them from my l5r days.. can't remember their names for the life of me though).

I was back at work today. About two hours before my shift was over I was given some very unhappy news. I had to pretend to be ok for the last few hours of work and then came home and collapsed into a ball of sobs. Swoney died on Friday The funeral is Tuesday. My manager told me to take Tuesday and Wednesday off so I can go to it in Vegas. He told me not to worry one bit about him getting the shifts covered and just go. He also asked if there was anything else he could do. He really is a friend as well as a manager. I have a possible ride and a definite place to stay.

EDIT: For those who knew her and are able to be there, I have just received the following information on the service...

There will be a service to celebrate her life on Tuesday, November 22 at 6 pm and the Palm Mortuary on South Eastern. I believe the number is 702-464-8500 if you have a hard time finding the place and the addy is 7600 S. Eastern.
